Autumn Song

by revbillcook

I belong to the wind

cascading down snow capped mountains

avalanche of air

pushing through barren pine trees

whispering go away go away

o please go away

brushing surface of seas

rolling massive swells toward shore

to break against rocks white like fish

gusting across glistening fields of corn

scattering crows and small hawks like leaves

beneath gray clouds

gently playing in gardens

dancing butterflies twirling

fluttering fluttering

pouring into my mouth

filling my lungs

claiming my spirit

I breathe out singing

I belong to the wind

I belong to the wind
